Speaking with Reluxe, the beauty mogul reveals her most treasured possession, her regular pick-up pieces, and what’s on the top spot of her vintage wishlist.

What is in your capsule wardrobe?
My capsule wardrobe consists of vintage Levi’s, white T-shirts, vintage blazers, and lots of knitwear.
How do you shop vintage?
I shop vintage whenever I can, especially if I’m travelling. When I’m in LA, I’m on the hunt for old Levi’s, or in Paris for French classics from the 1970s and 80s. Since New York is blessed with so many vintage fairs, I try to visit as many as I can when they’re in town.
What do you love about Reluxe?
At Reluxe I find incredible preloved pieces. My favourite thing to do when I have downtime is to scroll through Reluxe and see what treasures come up. I love that Reluxe really feels like it’s been edited with a discerning eye which makes it so good. It’s also what makes it so dangerous because I want it all!
What is your most treasured item of clothing?
My vintage James Galanos gown which I absolutely adore.
What is the piece of fashion that you are still searching for?
I’m searching for the perfect trench coat - which comes down to the exact colour, cut, and style - and the perfect bustier.
What is your favourite styling tip?
You can’t go wrong with a sharp, attention-commanding blazer. To top it off, add a chic earring - I don’t go too heavy with accessories during the day, but something with a touch of sparkle or a classic pearl can really elevate a simple outfit.

I like a lot of people’s style, but I can’t say that one person is my icon. I appreciate Chloe Sevigny’s fashion choices. I admire Sofia Coppola's quiet chic choices. Of course, Jane Birkin’s unique take on effortless glamour means she always looks good.
Is there anything you buy every season? I have a regular rotation of everyday basics which means I normally buy just one statement piece at the start of a new season. Other than that, I buy jeans, blazers, and fresh white T-shirts as I need.
Which designers do you hunt for in vintage stores?
Chanel, YSL, and Alaïa, but my eyes are often drawn to a cult classic, whether Tom Ford-era Gucci or Galliano-era Dior.
What does luxury mean to you?
Quality; things that last.

I find it so much easier, particularly with shopping destinations like Reluxe which let me shop for a specific occasion, designer, or trend with no effort. Occasionally I’ll shop in person for a different experience; there’s something special about digging through a vintage store for a hidden gem.

Classic, vintage, feminine tomboy - with just the right amount of sexy.

It means making choices that are better for the environment such as buying clothes from preloved sellers, like Reluxe. Wearing vintage instead of buying new. And avoiding fast fashion.
