RELUXE YOUR LOOK | Alex Eagle
The London-based Creative Director, renowned for her impeccable taste, shares her styling advice, what’s inside her capsule wardrobe, and how she shops for fashion now.

What is in your capsule wardrobe?

I have an everyday ‘uniform’ which I wear variations of on repeat. This includes a men’s style suit, classic white sneakers, cashmere socks, white t-shirt or tank, navy blue, Vintage 501 jeans, cashmere jacket/ coat, and Alex Eagle sunglasses.

How do you shop vintage?

I find some amazing vintage pieces in Brighton and Berlin, as well as online sources and flea markets. I also use Rellik which have some really special pieces.

Which designers do you hunt for in vintage stores? Hermes

What is your most treasured item of clothing?

My Alex Eagle White bespoke suit – it’s perfect for every occasion

What is the piece of fashion that you are still searching for?

A Silk oversized tunic shirt from Celine SS11

What are your future fashion heirlooms?

90s Mason Margiela and Helmut Lang, late 90s Prada, anything from Phoebe Philo for Celine and Daniel Lee for Bottega.

Luxury means not having to fuss when getting dressed, if something is easy and effortless to put on and wear it is instantly luxurious to the customer. I also think quality is so important, the small details not everyone will notice like hidden pockets and silk lining.
What is your favourite styling tip?

Comfort is key, if you feel comfortable in what you are wearing you instantly look and feel cool and relaxed.

Who is your fashion icon?

Lauren Hutton

Is there anything you buy every season?

White ribbed tank tops, chunky gold jewellery

How do you shop?

I think less is more, I don’t really shop anymore, but replenish pieces of my day-to-day uniform that I know I will wear.

If you could shop from one woman’s wardrobe, whose would it be and why?

Fran Lebowitz

What is your personal style?

Menswear for women

What does sustainable mean to you?

Wearing something consistently or shopping vintage. If I am going to buy something I make sure I want to wear it lots. It is such a focus for my brand, to ensure that when someone is buying my clothes that they are getting the quality and luxury to be able to wear it forever.
